My Lord Krishna Vasudeva

                                                               MY LORD KRISHNA

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

Hara Rama Hara Rama Rama Hare Hare

Vancha kalpataru bhyas ca krpa- sindhu bhya eva ca

                patitanam pavanabhyo vaishnavebhyo namo namah.

  • Through the simple act of chanting Shri Krishna's name, it's said that it takes away the grief and misery from one's life and gives that person bliss and peace

  • Lord Krishna the Sampurna avatar is one god who has several attributes associated with him. He is the god who as an infant had killed the demoness Putna and killed Kali Nag. And also showed his mother Yashoda the entire Universe in his mouth.

  • The scriptures say that every living being has some qualities that they are born with. And, the maximum one can have is 16. And, out of all the gods that took form on the planet, Shri Krishna was the only one who possessed all 16 qualities making him the ''Sampurna Avatar.''

STORY1: THE DEVOTEE OF DEVOTEES-

There are many stories about the birth of Lord Shri Krishna in Srimad Bhagavatam
It is said viewing the Lord in his child form is the rarest occurrence and even
gods wait for eons to view that form.

A popular story of Lord Shiva took the form of an
ascent and entered Gokul so he could catch a
glimpse of Lord Krishna.

However, there is another story connected to this one that few are aware of.
It is written that after witnessing the troubles Lord Shiva went through to glimpse
the child form of Lord Krishna, Sage Narada confronted both Lord Shiva and Lord Krishna.

It was the first sight instance of many where Lord Krishna has said
he is the servant of his devotees. This reflects on popular belief around
Shri Krishna that he may lord over the entire universe but he will always follow the
wishes of his devotees. Just as Lord Shiva is known as '' Devon Ke Dev'' (the god of gods),
Lord Krishna is known as '' Bhakton Ke Bakt'' (the devotee of devotees).

STORY 2: GOPIS AND KRISHNA INNOCENT PLAYING OR FLIRTING

The devotion of Gopies was called Gopika Bhavam
They connected Krishna to their Soul and Mind
Gopikas said like a person who renders service to his guru, they tendered
service to Krishna preceptor of the world.

  • The Gopa and Gopis the cow hurd folk constantly sort Krishna out, surround him, and spend time with him.

  •         The Gopa and Gopi are yearning for and cherishing of Krishna signifies symbolically
  •  '' every soul yearning'' for cherishing true knowledge.
Some saw Krishna flirting with the Gopis. The Raslia is a metaphor for unification with the divine. The whole universe itself is the twisting of the two. The gross and the shuttle. The Leela of Lord Krishna gains relevance, meaning, and significance when one elevates one's starts from the gross physical level to the shuttle.  Iterial level is the twisting of the two which which will help us recognise and realise reality.

STORY3; LORD KRISHNA BREAKS DURYODHAN YAGNA:

Before the great Mahabharata war, Duryodhana wanted to do a yagna to ensure his victory in the war. So he asked Sahdev to give him the best date. Sahdev was a great astrologer and did his profession with great dedication. So even though Duryodhana was an enemy he helped him.

He told him to conduct the Yagna on New Moon Day. This upset the Pandavas and Krishna because a yagna on the new moon day would guarantee Duryodhana's victory. To stop this Krishna started doing Pitru Tarpana a day before the new moon.

When the sun and the moon heard of this, they came to Lord Krishna for an explanation as to why he was doing the Tarpana today instead of the next day. To this Krishna said that the new moon day was the day the sun and moon came together and they were together now in front of him. So this was the new moon day. Due to this Duryodhana was unable to perform the yagna on the right day and Krishna ensured that he wouldn't win.

STORY 4; LORD KRISHNA AND BHISMA PITAMA;-

In the initial days of the Mahabharata war, Bhishma Pitamah was in charge of the Kauravas.

Duryodhana was angry that the Pandavas were not dead even under the leadership of Bishma.

Duryodhana accused him of being biased towards the Pandavas. This hurt Bhishma Pitamah and he made a vow that by the next evening the Pandavas would be dead or he would resign his post as their leader. Krishna overheard this and he knew the strength of Pitamah's words.

He knew that if nothing was done the Pandavas would die tomorrow. So he went to Draupadi and told he that she would become a widow tomorrow. Upon hearing this she asked Krishna to help.

SO Krishna took the form of a farmer and asked him to come with him to the tent of Bishma Pitamah.

He told her to say certain things to him. She agreed and they went. There was heavy security around the tent. Only Sanyais and married women were allowed to enter ( it is said that a sanyasi or a married woman never spies hence they were not a danger.) So Draupadi entered and Bhishma Pitamah was mediating that time and his eyes were closed. She asked him for his blessings and he told her 'Saubhagyawati Bhavana.' Then he opened his eyes to see who it was and realized what he had done. So in this way, using his cleverness Krishna ensured that the Pandavas did not die.

STORY 5: CURSES AND DEATH OF LORD KRISHNA:-

Lord Krishna died due to the culmination of several curses in his life. The first one was Lord Ram killing Bali from a hidden spot in the tree even though Bali had not committed any deceitful act against Lord Rama. Lord Rama accepted his mistake and granted him the right to kill him in their next life.

Sage Durvasa also cursed Krishna. He had asked him to apply Kheer all over his body. Krishna did not apply it on his feet. So in anger, Durvasa cursed him that he would always have weak, unprotected legs.

Also, after the battle at Kurukshetra, Gandhari saw the dead bodies of her sons and called upon Krishna. She blamed him for their deaths saying that he could have stopped it if he wanted to. Krishna laughed upon hearing this. This angered Gandhari and she cursed him that he and his entire Yadava clan would die after 36 years. Krishna smiled and said 'Tathastu'. He knew that a time would come when Yadava clam would have to die as they would become undisciplined and mannerless. The curse came true eventually. In the end, after the death of the entire Yadava clan including Krishna's brother Balarama.

Krishna was sitting in the forest consumed with grief. He was killed by the arrow from hunter Jara, who mistook his leg for a dear. Jara was the reincarnation of Bali form previous birth. Krishna died due to the arrow in his leg because of the curse from Durvasa that his legs would always be weak and unprotected. This tells us an important thing - No one escapes Karma.
